What payments, services and other benefits does Centrelink offer for sufferers of chronic or serious illnesses?
If you have a serious or chronic illness, you may be eligible for a Centrelink benefit, an allowance, a concession card or all three. There is a wide range available of financial support available depending on your circumstances.
Your eligibility for these payments will depend on your employment status, the duration of your incapacitation and the extent of your illness. The amount of any Centrelink payment made to you will depend on your income and assets as well as those of your spouse or parents.
