By combining in-house health communications capabilities with information obtained from a range of experts and other patients who have learned to manage their illness, PPM have been able to deliver The DrsWaitingRoom and HelpDomian.
Who is PushPull Medical?
PushPull Medical (PPM) is an independent medical communications group comprising professional medical personnel, health care services and communication specialists working together to bring quality information from all areas of health. PPM works with a wide range of medical and health care personnel to bring innovative and unique health care solutions. They provide patients and healthcare professionals with a wide range of dynamic multi media tools that allow the understanding of complex medical and health concepts to come alive. These advanced learning tools convey vital information, provide patient support systems and offer sensible solutions to common health and care problems. In addition to developing web sites, animations and media tools commissioned by medical companies, PPM are the creators and producers of DrsWaitingRoomTM (DWR), DrsToolboxTM (DTB), and HelpDomainTM (HD).
What is HelpDomain?
When faced with a health crisis or significant health issue, understanding and managing the condition from a medical aspect is only one part of the challenge. Patients, their families and carers are also faced with numerous non-medical decisions that can be difficult to understand. Finding where to go for answers can be time consuming and the last thing they want to deal with. Everyone’s experience is different and information is not always straightforward or easy to find. Access to independent, balanced and accurate advice from professionals who help solve problems everyday is critical during these difficult times. HelpDomain works closely with the people who know their business and can give good advice. Information is accessed from many sources to find the right mix of knowledge, tools and services to empower the patient, family member, carer, friend or health care worker and to help them make good decisions and positive choices. Whether it’s identifying services, finding financial support, working out legal issues or knowing how to effectively use offers from family and friends, HelpDomain has solutions. HelpDomain also aims at offering health care professionals with resources and tools that provide assistance in broaching difficult medical care issues with patients and their families. The HelpDomain project has been discussed with various organisation in order to get approval for the content and ensure that the site meets the needs of their members - Carers Australia, Australian Association of Social Workers, Financial Planners Association etc. We are currently in dialogue with many HCO’s (Health Consumer Organisations) support groups for the various conditions who see HelpDomain as a valuable tool for their members - this referral will be a major source of traffic for both HelpDomain and DWR.
